POSTERS
These handmade, silkscreened posters serve as an ongoing history of Poptek Records, and the bands, friends, and musical heroes involved. All posters have been designed and printed by me, Andy Ingram, with one really obvious ode to Saul Bass.
ALBUM PACKAGING
My love for album packaging and liner notes is what got me into graphic design. Even though I have been closely involved in many of these projects as the drummer or producer or label manager, my bandmates and friends are still clients who need to be happy with how their music is being represented.
LOGOS
Finding an icon and typography to represent the look of a company or group is always a wonderful and stylish challenge. The logos for Poptek Records, Champion City Landscaping, Champion City Church, Champion City Vineyard Church, Whole Hearted Soul Care, Camp Boost, and Paga Art are all original. The logo for Safe Harbor M.D. is an adaptation of their logo created by Catapult Creative, made for a specific fundraising campaign. Lima Floor Covering is an adaptation from the work done by Hucklebuck Design for James Flooring, Lima Floor Covering's parent company. The logo for Jolly Thunder Turkey Calls was rejected, but I still really like it.
T-SHIRTS
Silkscreening naturally lends itself to making merchandise for artists and friends. These shirts have been designed and handprinted by myself.
hucklebuck design studio
I have spent more than a year interning a couple of days a week with Andy Hayes at Hucklebuck Design Studio. Much of the work I have done has been for Wittenberg University, implementing the styles Hayes has created, most notably for the annual Witt Series.
THE WEDDING SINGER
I have been asked to sing at quite a few weddings. I have also been asked to create quite a few invitations for those weddings.
POLITICS
Once upon a time I worked on visualizing a political campaign. I only worked with Gary Leitzell for Dayton Mayor for a month before his communications director, whom I knew, left the campaign. Leitzell did win though and served Dayton for one term as mayor. So I'm taking at least a little bit of the credit.
