Listen in on Tuesday May 12 as THE FLORALS play live in-studio on WYSO 91.3 FM with Niki Dakota. Niki's show "Excursions" starts at noon EST and THE FLORALS should play soon therafter. You can stream the show at wyso.org.
THE FLORALS self-titled debut is available in Dayton-area stores today. Omega Music in Dayton, Toxic Beauty in Yellow Springs, and Champion City Guide & Supply in Springfield all now carry the CD. Come out to 2nd & Charles to celebrate Record Store Day with THE FLORALS. They play a free show at 3 PM April 18 at the Kettering, OH store.

So a year later, we are still recording JILL + MICAH's debut. I mean we never seem to do anything fast at Poptek and this has not been the exception.
JILL + MICAH have been meeting up when they can at Poptek's Our Arsenal studio. Joined by Andy Ingram producing and Gigi Palassis (guitar), Johnny Callon (bass), and Alexander Scaglia (accordian and organ) contributing their respective instruments, the songs are coming out brilliantly.
Between infrequent opportunities for the duo to make it from Columbus to Yellow Springs, to the 12 songs we laid down that happen to be at least 6 minutes long, to the fact that JILL + MICAH keep writing good songs we want to add to the record, it is taking a while. We'll finish soon though. The bulk of the guitars and vocals for the original 12 are done. Just need to add some more guitar, drums, bass, and piano.

Poptek is excited and proud to release the debut full-length from THE FLORALS. We love this endearingly odd, mature-beyond-their-years duo from Springfield, Ohio.
Their record release party happens Friday April 17 in Springfield. The self-titled CD can be had then or on the following Tuesday from record stores local to Dayton, OH.
Finally the release will be available digitally on Tuesday May 12 from digital stores around the world.
